As the Managing Director and Secretary of Irvine Housing Association Paul has direct responsibility for advising the Board on strategic issues, ensuring the Association is governed appropriately and providing leadership to the staff team. He also has overall control and management of the Association’s operation, ensuring all activities are carried out in an effective and efficient manner consistent with the Associations values.
Paul is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and is a Master of Business Administration. He commenced his career in housing over 20 years ago. He has worked in a range of roles and has experience in housing management and maintenance, supported housing, housing development and estate regeneration. Paul is also a voluntary non-executive Director of the Scottish Community Development Centre.
David is Interim Head of Housing Services until the end of April 2017 having previously been the Interim Executive Director (Operations) from May 2015. His responsibilities cover all operational housing management, income, allocations, community support and asset management functions. Over the last 35 years David has worked at senior management levels in a range of social housing organisations delivering both housing management and housing investment services in Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester and London. David has Town Planning and Housing qualifications and is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Morag started with the Association in January 2005 and is responsible for the delivery of corporate service functions including finance. This includes strategy and policy development, performance management, business planning, the preparation of statutory accounts, and ensuring financial viability. This involves all areas of the business and as such Morag's role requires a strong emphasis on collaborative working across the whole of the Group.
Morag has worked in finance for over 35 years, starting her career as a junior in a local firm of chartered accountants. Morag then moved to the commercial sector where she worked in media for over 20 years. During that time Morag worked in a number of roles including Senior Regional Management Accountant and Business Development Manager. Morag then moved to the social housing sector in 2005 when she joined the team at Irvine.
Anne-Marie is responsible for overseeing all policy development, and co-ordinating and improving the Association’s approach to performance management. She also manages our approach to governance including the provision of support, development and training to Board members and our scrutiny volunteers. The role is key to shaping the Association’s strategic objectives by providing a business information and research service that delivers a strong evidence base to influence, improve and direct our services. Anne-Marie is the registered manager with the Care Inspectorate for our Sheltered Housing Service.
Anne-Marie was offered a temporary post at Irvine Housing Association in 2002 whilst working towards her MPhil in Housing Studies at the University of Glasgow, which she completed in 2004. She subsequently worked for a couple of housing associations in Glasgow to gain more experience of the sector before returning to Irvine Housing Association as a Senior Housing Officer in 2005. Anne-Marie was promoted to the post of Housing Services Manager in 2007 and was successfully appointed to the role of Policy & Performance Manager in 2016. Anne-Marie is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
