Glasgow Road, DumfriesThe completed development at Newbridge, Glasgow Road is situated on the outskirts of Dumfries
with picturesque views of the surrounding hills. The project itself was undertaken in partnership with
the Home Group and is the single biggest new build scheme Irvine Housing Association has completed
to date. The development consists of 64 units overall, 34 Irvine Housing Association homes and 30 Home
Group homes. The housing mix consists of a mixture of family, elderly and wheelchair properties. All 64 houses
are now occupied. The first 22 tenants received their keys on 1st October 2007 with the final 12 Irvine Housing
Association properties becoming occupied on 12 November 2007. The entire project was completed on 31 May 2008
when all 30 Home Group units were handed over. The project finished almost 3 months ahead of the original schedule.
R&D Construction Group were the appointed contractors for this exciting and highly successful project.
